We are continuing our study of Growing by discovering HOW things grow.  We have butterflies emerging from their chrysalis and we observed a ladybug that had emerged from it's pupa, and we were hoping for some silkworms from the eggs but they didn't hatch; so we will be borrowing some from Ms. Renee's batch.
We are now focusing on, "What hatches from eggs?"  and "What is born live?"  This concept can be quite confusing so I will be keeping it simple.

We will be participating in an end of the year celebration on Friday evening, May 17th at 5:30 p.m.  The children will be singing a song they know as: Slippery Fish. It is actually called Octopus and if you would like a download, it can be found on iTunes on Charlotte Diamond’s 10 Carrot Diamond album. We have been singing this song for quite a while and will be practicing most every day so they will be comfortable with it. That said, they may still be VERY hesitant to go up in front of a huge crowd of people. I feel they should NOT be forced to do so. We will try and make it as fun as possible for them, giving them a positive experience.
This FRIDAY May 10th is the Trike a Thon from 10:00-11:30.  This is for ALL families (mwf as well as t,th)  All children are to bring a bike or tricycle that has been decorated (yes, there will be prizes)!  Please check in wit the office if your child does not have a bike/trike.   The children will ride their bikes in laps according to age catergories.  It is a super fun event for the children, that hopefully everyone can attend!

We have so many things coming up in April and May ~ Please see the Upcoming Events tab for details!

Another activity we will be including with our study on GROWING is the children. I will need a baby picture (one that you don't need back) of your child. Please bring by Mon/Tues May 14th.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all the moms! I just want to say how much you are all appreciated, I hope you have a very special mothers day!
