My goodness this year flew by! The children have changed so very much ~ I just commented on Friday how there is very little diaper changing going on these days! Our circle time has been somewhat functional, as the attention spans have lengthened and the children's drawings have changed as their little finger muscles have strengthened from playing with playdough! I am feeling a bit envious of my fellow teachers who will have the privilege of these precious children next year, and yet on the other hand I feel very proud to have been able to watch them grow and develop all year.
Well, as we begin this week, it is the last FULL WEEK of school. Next Monday the 27th is a holiday for Memorial day, then we will enjoy our celebration with our class on Thurs/Fri the 30th & 31st. We will have a time for the children to sing a song, they will get a little certificate, and then we will have an ice cream bar. Our theme has morphed into a "Safari theme" which goes right along with our study of growing.
The last day of school for the children will be Tues. 6/4 & Wed. 6/5. These days will consist of FUN WATER activities outdoors. Each family is to bring 10 FILLED water balloons and wear a swim suit ready to get wet!
Just in case you didn't hear me say it before: I have LOVED being able to have your child in my class and to be able to work with all of you parents! I am a very blessed person and I am thankful for all of you.
Have a great summer!
~ Ms. Mari
